May 09, 2008 The U.S. is gearing up for its biggest wheat crop in 10 years. In a supply and demand report Friday from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, all U.S. wheat production this year was pegged at 2.392 billion bushels, up from 2.067 billion bushels last year and the largest since 1998. That year, U.S. wheat production came in at 2.547 billion bushels.
